GPA Films

History

GPA Films is a hands on production company which trademark over the years has been its ability to tap into a network of both young and seasoned artists to generate original, both artisticly and commercially driven material.

The company was established in 1983 by Marcel Giroux and the late André Pelletier. From its inception through 1989, the company produced numerous short spots for TV, documentaries, commercials, music and corporate videos, a good portion of this early work being carried out for Japanese TV networks and advertising agencies.

From 1989 onwards, following the untimely death of partner André Pelletier, GPA progressively let its commercial and sponsored production activities taper off, and focused almost exclusively on television and feature film production.
